What Is Hypnosis and how does it work?

Hypnosis is actually less of a mystery that you think.

It is merely your Therapist assisting you to go to a trance-like relaxed state which enables you to commune with your sub-conscious mind, without the interference of your critical conscious mind.

This allows you to delve deeper into how, where, why and when your beliefs were formed that are now your belief system that directs your thoughts, behaviours and habits.

You remain totally in control during Hypnosis. You are not ‘asleep’, rather YOU WILL BE MORE AWAKW to new possibilities. It is a sleep of your nervous system, which allows you to relax.

We go into this trance like state several times a day, we call it ‘day dreaming, or zoning out’. We also experience it immediately prior to waking, and also when drifting off to sleep. You may have heard of this referred to as REM - Rapid Eye Movement.

It has been described as a ‘drifting, drowsy, floating feeling which envelops the body and takes you into the state of relaxation where you become receptive to suggestion.

How is rtt different to hypnosis?

RTT Embraces many of the aspects of Hypnotherapy. However, RTT goes beyond traditional Hypnotherapy, diagnosing what works best with our Client to build a new highly effective therapeutic approach.

RTT comes from a unique layering of techniques and beliefs that was created by Marisa Peer.

It achieves astounding, rapid results. It does not rely solely on positive reinforcement, it gets to the root cause of issues, thus giving clients the most liberating understanding, and therefore transformative empowerment to achieve dramatic long lasting results


What IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN RTT AND NEURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING (NLP)?

Both RTT and NLP can teach you how to better dialogue with your mind and understand the difference between the conscious and subconscious beliefs.

However, RTT has the added-and-crucial step of also directly accessing and removing whatever blocks may be there.

It also has the addition of Transformation phase.

By utilising specific RTT Tools and and Hypnotherapy methodology, Clients are able to reach breakthroughs that would either not be possible, or would take far longer to achieve with other more traditional techniques.


What MAKES RTT SO SPECIAL?

RTT is different to any other qualification. The training is hands on and practical, it is taught and accredited to the highest Educational and Professional standards, so your Therapist can hit the ground running and you can achieve outstanding results very quickly

RTT includes continuous practice sessions to master the methodology, guided support, regular masterclasses with Marisa to dive deeper, on line study, exams and required Continuous Professional Development Credits (CPD) and your Therapist is required to be a Licenced Practitioner for RTT i.e. this is not a bolt on module, it is a Psychotherapy modality in it’s own right.

Unlike many Hypnotherapy treatments, RTT does not rely solely on positive reinforcement. RTT Therapy gets to the root cause of an issue, giving our Clients the most liberating understanding and transformative power to achieve dramatic, long lasting results

WHAT IS LIFE COACHING AND HOW WOULD I BENEFIT FROM IT?

Life Coaching is literally that. Taking your map of your life design and coaching you through the setps to get you there. We will work through tools and techniques to get you to your core values, and then map out how you will live out those values in every aspect of your life.

We will question your belief system, how they were formed and whether you want to keep or change them through new actions habits so they become who you are, your source code. You will find YOUR TRUTH and finally get to live it, and not someone else’s version of it


HOW LONG WILL I NEED BEFORE I FEEL I HAVE MY LIFE MAPPED OUT?

This will depend on where you start from, you may already have an idea of your Life Design. In which case we will set to the process of setting milestones to get your there

You may just be starting out, and want to discover what that life design is

first.

We may need to re-frame some self-limiting beliefs first

It starts when you pick up the phone, and ends when you are ready

WHAT IS MINDFULNESS, HOW WILL IT BENEFIT ME, AS OPPOSED TO AN RTT SESSION, WHICH WILL ‘FIX’ MY ISSUE?

Fixing issues is just the start. Being at peace with the new you is where Mindfulness comes into it’s own. It is a tool that will help you stay focused on your Life Design. It keeps you grounded in the here and now, experiencing it for it’s intrinsic value, but will also create space for you to explore more deeply and with more clarity the who, how, why, where, when you go to next

HOW DOES COUNSELLING DIFFER FROM LIFE COACHING?

Counselling is the provision of professional assistance and guidance in resolving personal or psychological problems

Counselling is a professional relationship which empowers individuals, families and/or groups to accomplish mental health wellness, education and/or career goals.

It helps people make changes in their ways of thinking, feeling and behaving.

It is a goal-based, collaborative approach. (usually present tense to address specific issues)

The fundamental difference is as a Counsellor, I will be offering advice and suggest options that you can choose from. As a Life Coach, I will guide you to come up with these options yourself, as we work through exercises to steer your thinking around your life goals (usually future based)
